    Tapping

    Life here is of a curious strain. Men and women in their search for life and its meaning have shifted and moved into spaces of new awareness and consciousness. We seek to have you enter into this knowledge now by tilting your head and tapping. Let us explain. Tapping has been a modality in use for many years. The missing component we suggest today is the tilting of a body extremity during the exercise. Do not become disillusioned by this as the first introduction to an altered methodology. But let us continue in this vein and perhaps grow your enthusiasm in the process.

    Consider now variations of what you knew or thought you knew about tapping. It is a methodology that is used to reconnect aspects that have become disassociated through trauma or some occurrence that did not resonate with your being. It is a tapping with your fingers, but there is another way to administer this reconnection that will integrate all components at play. 

    A Tapping Exercise

    Take two fingers and encircle the right ear while tapping. Move the fingers outward in a rotation that enlarges the area while still tapping. Do so three times. End at the base of the ear, apply pressure to the outer flap as if to close off sound to the ear canal. Repeat this same procedure with the left ear. Do three rotations on the right ear and three rotations on the left ear. Then, allow your fingers to rest on the tragus.

    Instead of recalling the specific traumas you experienced, see (in your mind’s eye) a release of dense energy occurring. See the heaviness (you may be carrying in relation to the traumas) resting on your shoulders. As you move in rotation around the first ear, see dense energy move (as a dark cloud) up and off of you. Now see it dissipate. 

    As you conclude the first series of rotations, rest your fingertips at the flap or tragus, push in. Can you feel the beat of your heart as you rest your fingers there? You should feel your heart beat or a slight pulsation. Continue with three repetitions on each side, resting after each full set of three rotations to both ears. Breathe deeply during this time as you are creating a locking point for this release. It is when you apply pressure to the tragus and feel the beat of your heart with your fingertips that you are doing so.

    When practicing, do not become focused on the beat of your heart. Rather, go through the steps in a set of three per rotation. See a darkened cloud lifting from your shoulders and releasing, then focus on acknowledging the heartbeat or rhythm when you lock in the pattern by pushing lightly on your ear lock point.

    This is important, for you will lose the very purpose of this exercise if you do not also visualize the cloud lifting from you and are merely focused upon feeling the beat. Know that each step is important as one does rely on the other. 

    An Example To Consider

    An example here will help you see what you might place within the cloud that lifts and dissipates negative energy. There was a young lady who was very focused upon accomplishing each and every objective. As sometimes occurs, others within the course of the day felt excluded and diminished by her accomplishments. They projected their lack of success upon another, believing that she blocked their success. You see, they had sought the position she had ascertained and were jealous of not reaching the goal themselves. So they set upon making her life quite miserable. They excluded her from activities and even took it upon themselves to tell falsehoods that were baseless and without even a degree of truth. You see, the flaw this one had was that she did not care what others thought, only that she achieved through constant focus and hard work.

    Exercise

    What she missed was the human component to her new position. Others did not feel included, and they then became resentful in the process. And so this young lady felt quite adrift. She knew she did not have a network of support or friendship from those who surrounded her. As such, she was tormented by the isolation that she felt and the hostility that she experienced. Since there was no one in which she could confide, she internalized the feelings that arose within her. She would cry and try to feel, but could not fully express the trauma that was to saturate her being. And so, in this circumstance, she could only fully release this angst when she did place them and all associated with these misdeeds into that dark cloud. Otherwise, the negative emotions would languish within and create havoc in her being over time. 

    And so, she did focus on that time period and those individuals who did concoct a plan for her demise. Shrouded in deceit and deception, they did plot to unseat her. And so, she did focus for seven days on this cloud. Making rotations and offering blessings to each who did accuse and belittle her reputation. You see, the only thing she was truly guilty of was not allowing them to get to know her. To allow them to connect to her individually. In this misstep, they created a dynamic which took on a life of its own. 

    And, of course, it was good that this thing occurred, as it moved her from living in a place she did not belong. It took her to a new proximity and path that offered her new options and unique opportunities. Ones that ultimately changed the trajectory of her life. And so, she has seen this and does even today continue to give ongoing gratitude for what did transpire against her. But the assault to her psyche was most significant, and it has never been fully eradicated from her body. Left to the body’s own devise, over time, this would fester and cause some illness to appear seemingly out of nowhere. 

    The body, you see, is a storehouse for the energies you create along the way. Sometimes, too, for those that you did choose to feel at the time. They are not always felt in the way that they need to be felt or realized in order to totally remove them from your being, so they do not reappear as sickness or disease in your future.

    And so, this is a significant exercise. You may find that seven days is not enough time for your situation, but during this process, do visualize each individual (who you feel has wronged you) going into the darkened cloud. Bless and thank them as you release them into a dissipating mist. 

    Can you recognize what they brought to your dynamic? Where would you be and what would you be doing if they had not altered your life’s course? Would you be somewhere doing something because it was the next logical step in your career path? Did this one thing change up a life that would otherwise have you playing it safe: Doing what others expected you to do, rather than your heart’s passion and lifelong desire?

    As you release the associated emotions that were once stuck within, see them removed and be non-existent. See them be no more. Only continue to put individuals into the cloud that you have not been able to fully forgive as you seek to forgive them now. Perhaps even those not truly appreciated by you in their misdeeds. You will know who needs to go in and who you need never focus upon again.

    Sit now and focus upon your breath and the sounds outside of your body. Play music that soothes you and is calming. Deep breaths connect you to prana, or the life force of all that is. When you feel less than whole and scattered, slow the mind and center your breathing to what might be considered a more conscious way to breathe: Deliberate and deep. Continue in this practice until you feel a shift within your thinking. Then, hold your breath for a count of five.

    Practice and play in the wonderment of what might now be. Move through Love. Be Love. Be all that which you already are.
